Apple Bug Bounty Program rewarded $75,000 to an ethical hacker Ryan Pickren

Apple has rewarded $75,000 (INR 56.75 lakh approx) to an ethical hacker Ryan Pickren who came across some flaws in Safari and iPhone gadget, specially at camera software. Apple has however fixed these flaws after reporting by Pickren.

An ethical hacker Ryan Pickren has discovered more or less seven flaws in Apple’s browser Safari and iPhone camera associated one.

Three security flaws might have resulted for the iPhone camera being hacked and possibility of accessing camera and microphone permissions, if an iPhone user visited a malicious site, then their phones would have been at risk.

The Safari 13.0.5 update fixed the main flaws including January 2020 update. Other minor flaws were fixed in March 2020 with 13.1 Safari update.
