Other than below detail, the latest one from each brand is, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 (and coming SD855, soon), Mediatek with P70 and Samsung's Exynos 9810 SoC and Kirin 980 processors.

Qualcomm Processors:

Qualcomm Snapdragon processor definitely comes as one of the top in the list. Many lovers are there for it. Qualcomm Technologies is a US based company, though they came initially on CDMA technology, they then actively progressed in a semiconductor designing for mobile devices, tracking devices, satellite phones, Virtual Reality, wireless charging, communications etc. in this technology world. 

The processor is suitable mostly for the Android devices and different budding brand smartphones across.

Apple Processors:

Other than well known Qualcomm processors among Android devices, the next comes definitely the Apple Mobile processors. They initially concentrated their own processor for their own devices viz. iPhone, iPad, iPad Touch and Apple TV etc. with A4 to A10 differently. MacBook Laptop aside. 

Apple later even moved to Smart Watch associating its processor work with other brands. Apple has different series processors for headphones, TouchID sensors etc. The latest Bionic chipset is one of them.

Intel Processors:

Intel Atom and Core M processors also entered in the mobile market aside its own version of Desktop, Laptop and Enterprise processors. The Atom X5 and X7 series are for smartphones

The X5 and X7 chips are built with 64 bit Quad core processors in 14 nanometer size and it can speeds up to 1.6 GHz and can be scaled up to 2.4 Ghz.



Samsung Processors:

Samsung Exynos is also in the list for Smartphone processors. The Exynos 7420 Octa which is a 14nm, octa-core processor is used in Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge.

They are based on ARM architecture. Their list is like Exynos 7 Dual, Exynos 7 Octa 7580, Exynos 7 Octa 7870.

Nvidia Tegra Processors:

Tegra processor released like Tegra 1, Tegra 3, Tegra 4, Tegra 4i, Tegra K1, Tegra X1. Tegra processors are built on 64 bit ARM architecture. 

The chips are built on 20 nm technology and using in Nvidia SHIELD Android TV. The process is Quad Core with 256 GPU cores capable of 4K video capabilities.

Tegra till now have gone through Tegra 1, Tegra 3, Tegra 4, Tegra 4i, Tegra K1, Tegra X1. As of end of 2016, Tegra X1 is currently the most advanced Tegra chip in the market.  The chips are built on 20 nm technology. 

The processor is currently used in Nvidia SHIELD Android TV. Asus Transformer PAD, HP Slatebook, Toshiba Excite, Xiaomi Mi3 etc. used Tegra 4 processors.

MediaTek Processors:

This is a Taiwanese semiconductor company. They release chipset for mobile devices, HDTV’s and other electronic devices. MediaTek processors are also built on 64 bit ARM architecture. 

The latest MediaTek processor supports up to 3 GHz speed. They come in variety of cores such as Dual Core (2 core), Quad Core (4 core), Hexa Core (6 core) and Deca Core (10 core).

HiSilicon or Kirin processors:

Huawei brand. This is a Chinese company specializing in semiconductor technology. Huawei created chipset based on ARM architecture. 

Some of the processors released by HiSilicon or Huawei are K3V1, K3V2, K3V2E, Kirin 620, Kirin 650, Kirin 910, Kirin 920, Kirin 930, Kirin 950 and soon to be released Kirin 960. 

Some of the devices with Kirin 950 are Honor 8 Pro, Huawei mate 8, Huawei MediaPad M3 and P9. P10 yet to come and confirm.
