How to check the Aadhar card in smartphone?

UIDAI has introduced mAadhaar app and this app can be downloaded from App store for iOS users and Google Play Store for Android users. The Digital technology helps you to get your detail handy.

The smartphone and its app will help you to register by adding your mobile number in mAadhaar app to authenticate and get your Aadhaar card detail.

The detail of your Aadhaar from the smartphone app will be considered as a soft copy of original Aadhaar. So, all your detail handy with secure. You can get your personal detail whenever and wherever you want them.

Before installing the mAadhaar app on your mobile, make sure that the number linked to Aadhaar is same with the number in smartphone for perfect notification and result.

How to install mAadhaar on your smartphone?

Step 1: Download mAadhaar app from App store for iOS or Google Play Store for Android phones.

Step 2: Open the app and follow the instruction (that update time to time) including setting password to access it.

Step 3: Check the list of option given there in app and use the option that you needed it mostly.

Step 4: Enter your 'Aadhaar Number' or scan the QR code on Aadhaar card to app.

Step 5: Use OTP or verification code received by your phone from Aadhaar to link it.

Step 6: Upon successful verification, your mobile mAadhaar app will sync automatically and get the detail.

Step 7. You're done the main steps.


In case if it not success to proceed with the app, it means, there is some net or phone or app or tech issue time being. You can retry it later.

Addition features from mAadhaar app is that, it comes with a lock and unlock biometric data that user can use it effectively even though it remain locked till user unlock it. The data will lock automatically within few seconds or a minute when not in use.

Also, mAadhaar has features like, Time-based One Time Password (TOTP) for security purpose. In addition, mAadhaar app helps sharing your updated Aadhaar profile using QR (Quick Response) code or eKYC (Electronic Know Your Customer) detail with your desired officials.
