How Smartphone smartly replaced the Phablet size over the years
Would you like to know how Smartphone smartly replaced the Phablet size? What happened in and around 2010 when Phablets were introduced and their size was the same as today's smartphones (6 plus inches) screen / display?

The word is a blend word or portmanteau of phone and tablet. In general, during the 2010 era, people mostly
prefered small size smartphones of 4 inches around. This is due to
previously they were using basic mobile phones and not ready to go to a
larger screen size immediately similar to then introducing Tablet sizes
which will not easily fit into the pocket or hand-purse (for ladies)
even if there is SIM or no SIM option.
Thus, 4 plus inches
smartphones were popular at that time though the configuration or
technical specifications with main features were lower in comparison to
today's date obviously.
Phablets
were not that successful due to
various reasons and one of them is that the 6 plus inches display is heavier to
carry around at that time against 4 to 5 inch screen smartphones usage, less buyer,
little extra price, low
configuration compared to that time smartphone and fewer brand hardly introduces it.
The
Smartphones' brand gradually increased the Smartphone sizes from
4-inches to 5 and then 6 and on. If you observe Apple's iPhone from
iPhone 5, iPhone 6, iPhone 8 and on with the Pro version then you would
feel how the brand gradually increased its size in a decade to match the
trend with the latest features. Not only Apple, you can check other
brands' different series devices to know the differences in the past decade.
However,
we can understand that Phablet size has been overtaken by Smartphones
since a few years ago. You would see almost the same sizes of the
smartphones except the latest features in them.
Stay tuned for more updates.
